The avalanche consumed her body, and she was never seen again. The young lady right beside her had a similar fate. She was running on a cliff and lost her balance causing her to fall into the path of the avalanche. The young lady laying lifelessly on the ground had the worst fate of all. While strolling by on the mountainside enjoying a lovely picarones (A traditional Peruvian dessert) the earthquake struck. She quickly shoved the remainder of her treat into her mouth, and got a terrible heartburn. The heartburn gave her a spasmatic attack causing her to fall dead in front of the avalanche. The Olympian however landed into a perfect handstand away from the avalanche. She went on to win multiple gold medals in the 1972 Munich Olympics.
